I don’t think of 18 as a number
And if i had to talk about 17, i’d say it’s a number divisible by 1 and itself and that’s why its the latest year for childhood even with more than 17 mature friends
I think, you don’t need to be 6ft tall to be spotted by oncoming police officers at 18
Its when you report to yourself when hurt even when broken with someone else’s glass
Because your ID cannot parent you
Its when you don’t wait for lunch break because you have to cook your own opportunities
Its when you don’t look up to the stars as heavenly bodies when you are held up with hell ideas and because you have to be at tandem with the sun to make hay
Its when you realize you don’t count hours but you let time count what you have done
Its when you discover that a gazelle is not any man’s goat because you want to be on TV when you have not switched on the self esteem in you
Its when you distinguish between water and drinks because you heard of Konyagi
Its when you understand distance because of everything that looks up to you when you think that there is nothing correct with a youth without nike shoes
It when you become a farmer because of digging into yourself for fruits like an apple phone
Its when you do not choose food but words to guide you intuition
Its when you stop counting weeks because counting is your weak point, because counting is not your job, you are jobless
Its when you stop counting seasons but count how many poems have counted you as an audience
