A TEAR AND A SMILE

Sometimes i wonder if the heart is a safe haven

Or maybe i shouldn’t

Because sometimes the boys i call my guys tell me to listen to my heart,

Everytime I go for advice,

The same heart that says “maybe not today,” sometimes with rhythms of

Clenched fists before i even pick up an even fight of this is the way to go.

And maybe sometimes what i experienced before,

Like heart to heart conversation breeding love,

And how it teaches lovers to wave when everything turns heavy.

Or maybe i should,

Because days are too short because of “i miss” yous and we tend to misuse money for another heart

And the heart says “its worth it bro, for as long as you wont be buried with your money”

And at time forfeit time and tend to the other heart at KFC

Yeah, Keeping for Future Contributions

Perhaps when we fight we will remember the burgers and smile again

Just for a tear and a smile, the song of the heart

Or maybe its not

Because of the children in the streets who their parent’s hearts forced a separation

Because of those who walk away from families they started themselves because the heart convinced them

Because of those who attacked their hearts because the worse kept escalating and the next time we saw them, we saw suicide

Because of the bribe to purge the heart

Sometimes killing because it is the heart’s tutelage

Or maybe the heart is the last air bender, always for the good of a sound body at noisy times?

Or maybe it both a glass and the brick to break the glass

Perhaps broken glass for beautiful vases at times,

Just for a tear and a smile
